Florida - August 2006
Wednesday 9th August
Argh I was too sleepy this morning! I went to bed at around 2am and woke up again at 3. I couldn't sleep. First because I was hyper, then because I was upset. I know I know - silly. Thankyou Dave for making me smile again. 3am was a blur, y'know I think I might actually have got up, packed and got to Glasgow all in my sleep. Is that possible? For me yes. Haha. We got to the place where you drop off your car to be looked after while you're on holiday - and it was pishing down and freezing cold. Typically Scottish eh? Oh, we met Nice Young Man (NYM) number one there. Yum. He was just a little too happy for that time in the morning in the pouring rain though.
We got our luggage checked in by about 5.30am and then we had to wait 'til 8.30 for the pre-boarding call. I hate waiting. We got breakfast at this hidiously over-priced restaurant in the airport called "The Village Grill". Where the fuck the village and the grill was I have no idea. I suggested to the server that the place should be called "Airport Microwave" but he wasn't amused. Waiting really is boring. Especially when you have those smart-arses with their laptops taking advantage of the free internet in the lounge area. There's Dad sitting there with his £9.99 Nokia pretending to be cool beside a suited guy with a 5 grand laptop. So we have ALMOST persuaded Daddy to buy us a laptop for October. Men and their egos.
After a hell of a lot more waiting, eating, wandering about and duty free shopping, we finally got called. Usually they just say something like "This is the pre-flight boarding call for flight GSM0730" but this time we were named and shamed. "Would the Miller family please report to gate 33 IMMEDIATELY!" Ooer! Sounded like we were in trouble. Why oh why gate 33? It's the furthest away gate. Urg. I hate airports. I hate the people that are going to New York. I wanna go there. I hate the scared people and I hate the security guards.
Ben got the window seat, I sat beside him and we ditched the parents over the isle. Then more waiting. I hate boarding first, you have to sit there for ages while everyone else gets on. Oh, know what else I hate? The fact they make you walk through business class to get to your seats. They're just teasing. I would much love leather seats with seatback TVs and a free bar service!
The worst part of going on a place is most definetly taking off. I am terrified. I think it's great getting taxied to the runway, but see once the engines go and you're flying along at 90mph. I'm effing terrified and squealing to get off. How dumb. But once it's in the air, i love looking down at Glasgow. The plane was okay-ish. Cheap seats. No seatback TV! =[ I miss that. But we were near the front, just behind business so we could see the big TV well. The flight was right on time. 9.5 hours. Films were shite, there was a lot of turbulance. (Why the heck are clouds so bouncy?) The food was alright too. My arse goes numb sitting still for so long. And there was no hot air hosts. Just ladies.
When we got to Sandford Orlando we had to wait to be off the plane LAST. MAN! BUT! We met NYM number 2 getting off the plane. Mmm.. Oh! Best part of Florida holidays - getting off the plane and being hit with HOT air... YESSSSsss.... And sexy tanned guys with that Florida accent. Oh yes. And er. The Customs Officers with guns. Actually, customs wasn't nearly as scary as it was right after 9/11. You could do the whole eye-scan-finger-print thing without having a gun up your nose.
Oh, and I love the hire-car-picking! I love how they just give you a row number and you get to pick ANY car in that row. So we had to sit in ALL of them before we picked it. I can't even remember the make of it for you car-enthusiasts. But it was big, and green (ew) and had a DVD player in the back. Comfy too. And going out of the airport is always hilarious for those silly Brits who ALWAYS forget that America drives on the RIGHT! I love the signs on the back of the highway signs that say WRONG WAY! I think by the time you'd read that you would have been hit by half a million cars going the other way. Dumb.
I also had to explain to Dad that you're allowed to turn right on a red light. He sits there and listens to everyone behind honking their horns because he refuses to turn right 'til the light goes green. Asshole. We finally did get to the hotel, alive. The hotel is lovely, and we got a free upgrade to a HUGE room with a patio and pool access. We did NOT pay for that! We unpacked a bit and NYM number 3 told us about a message waiting for us... Ooohh...
We went shopping at Walmart, Target and Walgreens. Was fun. America has so much better food! Then we went to Dominoes for pizza. (Met another NYM, lost count now) and we sat on the patio and ate pizza. Ooooh and then we got NYM number 3 delivering flowers! Thankyou Dave! Who I miss already. Damn I need internet..
Tiredness set in and i'm writing this last paragraph while the whole family is asleep. And I'm about to do the same. I love America. Night!
Thursday 10th August
Oh I'm getting up at the wrong time. This is confusing. It feels like midday but it's only 6am. Weird. We went out for breakfast this morning to Perkins. OMG - Perkins is open 24 hours! Pie at midnight anyone? After Perkins we headed to Islands of Adventure. We were there for park opening and were parked in the very first space of an empty parking lot. Haha. They opened at 8.30. (Just for us, they're meant to open at 9.) Haha. Ride queues were all <5 mins! I have NEVER seen that at IoA before! So I rode the Hulk a few times first, and broke it. Well, I was just about to go on and they announced technical difficulties. Ooer. I did get on again though. Just as amazing as the first time. And that's about my 20th time riding it. You HAVE to ride the front though. Or all you see is the back of the seat in front of you at the launch. The back seat feels faster though.
When I met back up with the family, I found that Dad had been persuaded to ride Spiderman. This is my father who is scared of EVERYTHING and refuses to ride anything scarier than the carosel. Mum and I rode Spiderman and it was amazing yet again. Gotta love that ride. It's sooo cleverly made. We then decided to ride Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges. As it's a very wet ride and we thuoght riding it in the moning would allow time to dry off before lunch. Mum and I got the WET seats. (The ones that are facing backwards going down the drop) so were SOAKED. I hate being soggy so I whined and Daddy bought me a new outfit - shorts that say Princess and a Universal Studios top. See? I'm a princess Dave! Oh, I got a hat as well, because Florida weather causes hair to go crazy. Straightened hair only stays straight for around 5 to 6 seconds.
We walked to Dueling Dragons and I did my best to persuade Mum to ride with me, but she wasn't having any of it. So I found a NYM to ride with. Ooh. He was from... Err... South Carolina I think. He was scared on the ride bless him. We watched a few shows - Sinbad's 8th voyage and Psiodens Fury. Okay I can't spell. We stopped for pizza. Then rode allll the Suess rides. I love that land the best. So utterly random and crazy. Like something Zoe and I would dream up in English class on an especially hyper day.
Then it was time for lunch at Margaritaville. It rained while we were eating so I guess we picked a good time to go inside! The food was great! And my parents now quite like Jimmy Buffet! There was crazy guys doing balloon modelling and getting people to stand on tables with salt shakers! CRAZY! But fun!
After all that we walked off the food and did everything at Seuss Landing again before going to Universal Studios. We rode MIB. All of us. Ben LOVES it. And we have a secret way to get bonus points. Mwahahahahaa. We watched the 360 show and I attempted to figure out how the heck to take pics of fireworks with my camera. After that we headed home. Nackered! Oh, we didn't get lost coming out of Universal Studios this time. We ALWAYS get lost and end up on I4. "They" went straight to bed. Long day! Am I tanned yet?
Friday 11th August
Today Mum and I got up early and went in the pool. It's good at 6.30am when noone else is up yet. But I thought the pool was cold. Haha. Then we ate breaky on the patio which was nice. We got to Universal Studios at around 9.30am and went on Shrek 4D first. Which is hilarious! It's like a show/simulator with 3D glasses. We went to go on Jimmy Neutron and the dumb blonde ride attendant made Mum and I wait in the 40 min queue while Dad and Ben got to ride as many times as they like, getting to the front of the queue. Which I thought was very rude. They don't split up any other families. So why should the split us up? But the ride is funny. Right at the end, the 'lil stupid guy gets a hold of a magic wand and gets carried away magicking up llamas. LMAO. I was in stiches laughing! We then went for Twister seeing as there was no wait. I love Twister simply because when the tornado comes and flings everything everywhere, theres this random COW that goes fleeing across the stage! It is frigging HILARIOUS! MOOOOOOOOOOO!
After calming down from that hilariousness I rode the Mummy a few times while the family watched the Blues Brothers. Single Rider rocks! You get straight on and get sitting beside a hot guy. How cool is that? I totally forgot how fast that ride is though. 'Tis excellent though. It goes backwards too, which I kind of forgot about. Haha.
We lunched at Mythos. Which id voted the #1 theme park restaurant in the world! It was pretty good! Good theming. It's like set in a cave with big stone furniture and stuff. The food was lovely, especially the cute little deserts! They were in little shot glasses! After lunch we were pretty stuffed so we went and watched the Terminator 3D show. Which has comfy seats, but I always end up dozing off when they shoot the gun. Hmph. Ben insisted we ride ET after that. I think ET smells like mouldy fishtanks. Because it's full of that fake smoky misty stuff. Ben loves that ride. Used to be his favourite before MIB.
We somehow ended up in Earthquake after that, and that ride has been spiced up a bit since the last time. It bounces about way more now! I love that ride because it is really realistic. And it has amazing effects! Then it was Jaws. I think Jaws sucks to be perfectly honest. It's so behind the times. I mean yeah... Woah, a big mad plastic shark. How scary. We rode MIB again after that - twice. And beat the parents. Then Mum and I rode again single rider and I got my highest EVER score of 197,000 Woah! Dad got like 3000. Mwahahaha. And I missed the 100K bonus that time! So my score COULD have been 297,000. EEK! ;]
We headed out pretty early, around 8.50 when the parking lot was quiet because everyone was sitting down to watch the 360 show. (We saw that one last night.) and we did a bit of shopping to buy miscellanious food that I'd never seen in the UK. Parents are still up at midnight tonight. I'm writing by the pool, nibbling what I've come to call 'chips'. Mmm.... This is the life. Dad ate my Tootsie Roll.
P.S - Wordplay on 'fanny'. 'Fanny' in America means bum (arse, derriere, whatever) and fanny in the UK means... Well... Something else. And I've also noticed that in Florida a bumbag is called a fannypack and is shortened to fanny. Quotes that are hilarious to the average Brit: "Sir - Can I look in your fanny?" "Maam - If you can turn that into a fanny, you can ride" "I need a bigger fanny!"
Saturday 12th August
Early mornings are starting to go for me. 6am. Urg. We ate on the patio again this morning and went to Typhoon Lagoon and activated our Disney annual passes - Woo! Boy do you get preferential treatment when you have an annual pass! I LOVE Typhoon Lagoon! We all went a little laze on the lazy river first of all. Mum and I floated round rating the lifeguards. Fernando = 10/10. Yum. Then we had a little lounge and saw the sharks. Then Mum and I went on Gangbank Falls - The Family Raft Ride. (I think it would be more suitably called Gangbang Falls.) It was a really long queue but it was fun!
I fell asleep in the sun after coming off that, and got woken up by Mother because she wanted to go in the wave pool. So we went in that and then I went round the river with Dad. Which was hilarious because he somehow managed to get STUCK sideways in the 'tube' (rubber ring.) A little more sleeping in the sun and talking to a family from Glasgow who were telling us they were not allowed any hand luggage on planes except for essential medication and a book or magazine contained in a see through polythene bag! WTF! And incoming flights to the UK have been suspended! Oh no, we might never get home! Noooooooooooo!
After we'd had enough sun we went to Downtown Disney to pick up the Dragonforce tickets. Then we walked the entire length of DTD to Earl of Sandwich. Was worth it. Mmmmmm.... Lovely. On the way back we were a bit greedy and ended up eating sundaes at Ghirardellis. YUM! Those ice creams are HUGE! We are so getting to be American with the eating!
Then we hit up the Disney store at DTD and spent rather a lot on random Disney crap! And after we recovered Dad from the shock of the receipt, we went to Old Town to see the Car Cruise. It's like a bunch of old cars. Boring if you ask me. There was a few General Lee cars. No idea what the significance of that is. But whatever. We headed home after that. I'm nackered. My feet are hurting from walking 19,000 steps.
P.S - Donald Duck original episodes are hilarious! We've been watching them in the car! LMAO!
P.P.S - Watching Dad through the patio doors while he's imitating Homer Simpson (undress--donut--beer--TV--bed) is more hilarious!
P.P.P.S - I'm tanned!
Sunday 13th August
Toooooo sleepy! Too much action and too little sleep going on here! We ate at the hotel this morning again, how much coffee can you physically drink? Then we went to Animal Kingdom. We were there pretty much for the opening and went right to Everest, the new ride and got astpasses. Then we all got soaked on Kali River Rapids, by going on it twice to ensure we were equally drenched! We had a wander round the forest trail to dry off a little and to see the animals. There was parrots which reminded me of Dave, who I miss very much right now. We dried off a bit and then went back for Everest. And it was down! =[
We decided to go through Dinoland and we ended up on this little kids-going-round-in-circles ride. What the..? It was hilarious, only because we were the only people over the age of two on it. Haha. Mum and I rode Dinosaur. I'm kinda scared of that ride. It's got a big crazy dinosaur chasing you! Whaaaaaat......? I knew it wasn't real. Hmph. We walked a bit more and I as wearing impractical shoes so I had to complain about blisters. And managed to persuade Dad into buying me Disney sneakers (trainers.) Wahey!
Next we saw It's Tough To Be A Bug. That show is always funny because at the end it says "please stay seated to allow the worms and cockroaches to make a safe exit" and you feel them going under your seat. Dad always forgets this is going to happen and leaps three feet in the air. LMAO. We lunched at the Rainforest Cafe today. That place is mental! The food was again lovely and we were adventureous and ordered the Volcano desert. Which is like 4 bits of brownie atop a huge chocolate biscuit, with 5 scoops of ice cream, sauce, flakes and sprinkles. YUM!
We just HAD to walk that off a bit before taking the train to the Conservation Station where there is a 'petting zoo' where for some bizarre reason there are... Sheep! Who awful much like to use Bens wheelchair as a scratching post! LOL! Indoors there was creepy things. Spiders and cockroaches and snakes and the like. Urgh. There was a guy doing a demo of the food the animals typically eat. And he ATE a maggot. HE ATE IT! Ewwww! I was totally grossed out. There was these cool little booths that you went in and put headphones on and listened to 'sounds of the rainforest' - nice little sleep in there!
We trained it back to the main park and walked to Everest to see if it was up. It was, and Mum and I got on the front row. Mum was terrified and screamed like a baby the whole way, we got a crap photo because Mum had her eyes shut. She did like it though. I loved it, I thought it was an excellent ride. It goes forwards, backwards, in the dark and has a drop off the edge of the cliff. And of course the big Yeti chasing after you the whole time.
We thought it looked a little stormy so we went back to the hotel just before shower-temperature torrential rain. So we're gonna stay in this evening. I'm going to write postcards.
Monday 14th August
Aaaaaaaah we got a lie in this morning. We were allowed because we'll be having a late night tonight and an early start tomorrow. So we slept 'til 9.30! We went to IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) for breakfast. Yum. I still think Perkins makes the best breakfast though. Bizzard beach today. As with TL, we went straight on the lazy river to, well, laze! I fell asleep. And got woken up by a nice and a half taking my picture. Oh yes! (Remember - the guy rating?) After the lazing we soaked up some sun, fells asleep, got my arse sunburnt. Mum and I went in the wave pool which is fun on a tube!
We went back to the hotel, via the post office where I got totally confused with stamps. And we all got ready to ROCK! I was ever-so-slightly HYPER! We dined at the House of Blues while was lovely, then bounced to the queue. We got into the hall and got our own little section for the wheelchair that was like above the mosh pit, so you could look over the moshers onto the stage. Fantastic view! The support - Between The Buried And Me - were shite. The band wasn't bad but the lead singer was that kinda emo/screamo singing. Really not nice. That was one angry little guy! There was a short break before DRAGONFORCE!
They were fucking amazing! Such a brilliant band live. They played plenty songs, there was old songs, songs from the album, never-heard-before songs and a few random solos. AMAZING! The songs they played from the album included Fury of the Storm, Heart of a Dragon, Valley of the Damned and finished with an amazing performance of Through the Fire and the Flames. Utterly amazing. As was the keyboard solo! Mad! My throat was hurting from screaming and yelling.
After the gig we walked down the street and when we came back up, the band was just coming out to get on their bus! We caught them all for a chat, signings and pics! They are a coooool (if not a little crazy) bunch! They are one of these bands that really care about their fans. Herman looks forward to seeing me at Glasgow. He's looking forward to playing there! We got back to the hotel late and went straight to bed. OMG I MET DRAGONFORCE! I HUGGED HERMAN LI! I can't get over that!
Tuesday 15th August
We were up before 6 this morning and got ready to tackle Magic Kingdom. We actually were there for opening where they do a mad dance and sprinkle pixie dust to make it magical. It's quite cute really. The most magical place on earth. We went right on Buzz Lightyear. There was no queue. Ben loves that ride. I hate it. Even if you don't touch your gun to shoot any aliens, your score goes up. Meh. We got fastpasses for Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain on the way to the Speedway. The speedway was like go-karts. You gotta drive. Hell. I cannot drive to save myself! After that Mum and I rode Astro Orbitor, the only Disney ride we hadn't done yet.
Ben insisted he go on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) which is a little train that's high above the park and goes round inside the rides in Tomorrowland. But you have to go up a steep conveyor belt to get there. That was touch with Ben! We managed though, and he fell asleep on it. Bless him! When we got down from up there we got a frozen coke before riding Space mountain. Wise after coke? Nah. We were cool though. 'Twas just Mum and I. Space Mountain is kinda shite really. Weeee circles in the dark.... Ooooh stars.... Ooooh a planet. Stupid.
Dad and Ben decided they were too hot, so we went in the Carosel of Progress, a weird little show where it shows a family living through the 20's, 40's, 60's, 80's and finally the 00's. Weird. And there's a really annoying little song! Argh! "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow... Shining at the end of every day..." URGH!!!!! But it had comfy seats which allowed for a quich seista!
After that little break we walked round to the other side of the park to do Haunted Mansion. Which I just love. It's just great. It's not scary or particularly fast and furious but I love the theming of it. It's just great every time. I'm sad okay? I like the classics! After that we got ice cream. Which is incredibily difficult to eat in 95 degree heat! We then went on Pirates of the Carribean. That was pretty cool. Ben liked it. We walked right off that and onto the Jungle Cruise. Ben fell asleep bless him! It's a shite little boat ride but it's quite relaxing.
Tiki room next. A show thing that I don't really understand the meaning of. It's a load of fake parrots that talk to each other. WTF? It's nice and cold in there though. Which is always a bonus considering this is the hottest day so far. We had lunch at Libert Tree Tavern, which is designed to be like an old cabin. Lovely food. Amazing smoothies! We went out of the Tavern and watched the parade. Which we've seen umpteen times before anyway. Mum and I rode the mountains with the Fastpasses and then we waked down mainstreet and got Pal Micky fixed.
Oh, Pal Mickey is an interactive cuddely toy that talks when you take him inside a Disney park. He tells you parade times, jokes and other useless information. He's hilarious really. He comes out with the most random shit. "I'd have to be over 150 feet tall to wear the hat in MGM Studios." Who cares Mickey?! Right now I'm blogging from the hotel. We're about to order pizza and then we're going back to MK for fireworks later. OMG! They are playing the Rejects at the pool bar! ROCK ON!
We went back o MK, watched the parade and fireworks. Talked to a nice family from NY and the guy was a firefighter and was attmepting to rescue people from the towers on 9/11. Wow. Brave guy! I'm off to bed now. Uber-sleepy!
Wednesday 16th August
My batteries are definetly running on low this morning. I need sleep! We were at Epcot for it opening and watched the rope-drop. We most wanted to ride Soarin' so we got fastpasses for it. We did a child swap for Test Track. (That means Dad and I ride while Mum sits with Ben, then Mum and I ride while Dad sits with Ben, no queuing twice.) Mum had never ridden it before but she loved it! Mum and I ditched the men who wanted to go collecting pressed pennies, and we rode Mission Space. They've changed it now, they've taken away Single Rider and put in a simulator that doesn't move for those scardey people! How crap! Mum got to activate Hypersleep. Hmph. i wanted to do that.
We met the guys and went to go on Soarin' but it was down, and the guy was explaining it was a major technical failure and the ride wouldn't be up today! Huh! We decided to go on the ride next to Soarin' - Living With The Land but the queue was 60 minutes! Obviously everyone who couldn't get on Soarin' went for that. So we were complaining when a NYM came up and gave us a fastpass for it. Wahey! So we stopped for Mac & Cheese then walked right on LWTL! Yuss! It's a shitty little boat ride about farming and stuff.
After that we took a shortcut through Living Seas where there was a cute seahorse, to Innovations. I like that bit, it's all about computers and new inventions and they have internet. But you're only allowed on News.com and Disney.com. Boring! But I sent Justin an E-Card from there. Because I forgot his address so I couldn't send him a postcard and I feel quite guilty now. =[
Next we went on Ellen's Energy Adventure which is a 45 min (!!!) ride which explains how energy started the world and blah blah educational crap. It's so long, and you get a great sleep in it! We rode that silly little Figment thing after that. Bizarre. It's a stupid dragon thing that seems to think that everything is about imagination.
Dad then insisted we go round then entire World Showcase collecting pressed pennies. Now I fail to see what's so bloody interesting about a squashed penny. But we had to walk around then ENTIRE world getting them. Urg. 21,000 steps today. Feet... We persuaded Dad to go back to the hotel at park closing and we just went to sleep.
Thursday 17th August
Last day! Noooooo! Well yes actually. I miss people and I'm tired and I want to go home and lie in my own bed and go on MSN and cuddle Fudgey. MGM today. We arrived for opening as usual. We went straight for Fastpasses for Tower of Terror (eeek) and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster. Then we al did Star Tours which is a simulator ride through space. Pretty cool. We watched a few shows next - Lights Motors Action which is a stunt show and Muppets which is a 3D crazyness.
We then HAD to do Who Wants To Be A Millionaire because today is the LAST EVER day of it! They're shutting it! Booooo! We never got in the hot seat, noone won the cruise. Booooo! But it's fun. It then started to RAIN really heavy! So Dad and Ben hid in a shop while Mum and I RAN to Rock 'n' Rollercoaster! The queue for that was 80 minutes, but we had Fastpasses. We got in the front row! Woooo!
We then RAN to Tower of Terror, waited about 2 minutes for it and got on. I HATE this ride. It scares me shitless everytime! I'm terrified of elevators y'see. So I'm really pretty brave going on this ride. It dropped 4 times, but not big drops, only about 70 feet I think each time. Not bad. When we got off that, Dad had aquired a fastpass for RnR from a guy which chickened out, so he gave it to me and I rode it on my own. On the front. With a NYM. :D
We lunched at this realy cool place called Prime Time Cafe. It's hilarious! The servers are the babysitters and the guests are the babies. As soon as you come in you get told to stand up straight, set the table and they tell you the rules. "No complaining, eating with your mouth full, tattle-taling, spitballing, foodfights, screaming, crying or elbows on the table." Dad kept getting a row for putting his elbows on the table. The food was great! Oh, know what's funny - if you don't eat your vegetables, your server will come round and do aeroplanes into your mouth with the vegetables 'til you're finished! 'Tis soooo funny!
We just HAD to go back to AK to ride Everest again, to buy the photo so this time we made an effort to smile, and we got a great pic! After the park shut we went to Downtown Disney. Where I FINALLY got online! Last day and I finally make it online. Urg. DQ's internet is impossibly slow - slower than dial-up. Yuck. After sending a few emails we went to this comedy club called the Adventurers Club.
I actually HATED that place with avangance. We walk in and they ask where you're from etc. I say I'm 16 and the woman stands up and yells "Oooooh a 16 year old girl... She's not here for a family holiday is she? She's just here for something from the boys eh?" Fucking bitch. She can talk, she's wearing a French Maid outfit that doesn't leave a lot to the imagination. She has the effing cheek to call me a slut. FYI I am here for a family holiday. GRR! After that little greeting we went into one of the rooms for a show. And the guy in there said I wasn't allowed to sit with my family. I had to sit on the other side of the room on my own. So I just sat down and shut up. Then I was told rudely to shift, because another family wanted to sit there. So I went and stood behind Mum and Dad. And got grabbed and shoved to the back of the room on my own. I wasn't allowed to sit with my family. So yeah. I reaaaaaly hated that place.
We went back to the hotel and packed up, had a little time in the pool and went to sleep.
Friday 18th August
Ahhh home time. We had a little lie-in today - 8am. We had a last swim in the pool, then Ben and I went up to the 17th floor to see how high it was and take some pics! Wow! It's high! We got breakfast from McD's. Was alright if you like processed eggs. We went to DTD again to get a DVD to watch in the car on the way to the airport, got Goofy - Ben's choice. Since we've been watching Donald episodes all holiday.
We had lunch at Bahama Breeze. It was great! Then we drove alll the way to the airport. Took us about 50 minutes. Not too far. But we had to wait AGES to get our luggage in. And seeing as we're not allowed liquids past the screening area, I had to drink 5 bottles of water while waiting to check in. Eeeeeek! Yeah, I'm kinda familiar with the airport restrooms now!
We got screened. That was scary. You gotta practically strip and be felt up. Ooer. They took my teddy off me and SCREENED him! We boarded pretty quick onto the plane. And the takeoff wasn't TOO scary. I had my teddy anyway :D Thankyou Dave! I'm not entirely sure if I fell asleep on the plane or not. I think I did. Hmm. We were the only flight that left on time though. Every other flight was late due to the screening.
